Succulents

    

 When I was in Atlanta earlier this year, I made a trip to West Elm and was gaga for their collection of succulents and terrariums.  I have a bit of an indoor black thumb, so  I didn’t take the chance of a 6 hour car trip with live plants on board.  But I did find some succulents back home at Home Depot – I now have a cute collection on my living room coffee table and I haven’t killed them yet!

     Succulents are good for the gardening challenged people – you don’t have to water them very often and they grow easily.  You need a well-drained soil – my glass pot has a layer of gravel and then soil.  If you have a lid on your glass container/terrarium, you will almost never need to water it as the humidity created by the closed container will create all the water your plants need – what could be easier?  I feel so 70′s…like we should start  macraming  or have a Tupperware party!
